Description
A trailer mounted compressor providing continuous, reliable and quality breathing air forlong duration works that require breathing air. Based on a diesel engine with direct drive to the compressor, all units are automatically fitted with a chalwyn valve and spark arrestor as standard, for automatic shutdown and explosion protection. Constructed to meet the requirements of EN14593/ EN14594 for Airline Breathing Apparatus, units will produce high purity air to the EN12021 standard.
In addition to the compressed air, a high pressure 200 bar cylinder bank provides a secondary air supply which automatically operates in the event of the main supply failing. If the main supply should fail, there is an alarm which simultaneously activates giving an audible and visual warning.
Unique to these compressors is the control panel, which can be removed from the trailer and positioned remotely to at the point of entry to the work zone, and provides means of entry control for the users. All units are supplied Airtrack ready, so that they can easily integrate continuous air quality monitoring.
With Airtrack integrated, the compressor will shutdown and automatically activate emergency air if there is any compromise to the air quality. The compressor will provide consistent breathing air to up to 4 users of positive pressure breathing apparatus and supply an appropriate number of constant flow respirators or air supplied suits, providing they fit within its design flow requirements.
