Lifeline systems are an essential component of fall protection. Fall protection systems help workers stay safe in the event of a fall by keeping them from falling. When passive protection measures such as a railing fail to prevent a fall, lifelines enter the picture.
A vertical lifeline allows workers to move up and down the height of a line. A horizontal lifeline is anchored at both ends, allowing a worker to move its length.
